Briefing for Imported Workers under the Supplementary Labour Scheme
Within eight weeks from the day on which imported workers under the Supplementary Labour Scheme (including new recruits and those with employment contracts renewed) arrived at Hong Kong, the employers shall grant paid leave to them to attend a briefing arranged by the Labour Department. The briefing(s) to be held in May 2021 is/are as follows:
Due to venue issue, the venue for the May Imported Worker Briefing has been updated below. Employers with enrolled workers would receive our confirmation calls regarding the updated briefing date. Please inform the imported workers to attend the briefing on the rescheduled date.
Please contact the Supplementary Labour Division of the Labour Department for details of English briefing.
The employers should arrange the relevant imported workers to attend a briefing by returning the completed Enrolment Form for Briefing (PDF) and Acknowledgment List of Employment Contract (PDF) to us by fax at 2542 2742 on or before 30 April 2021.
As the seats for each briefing are limited, enrolment would be processed on a first-come-first-served basis. In case of over-subscription, the imported worker(s) would be assigned to attend a briefing on another date. Relevant employers would be informed separately.
In the interest of public health, all participants must wear surgical masks and undergo body temperature screening before entering the venue.
Please note that the Labour Department may consider refusing applications under the Supplementary Labour Scheme submitted by employers failing to comply with the briefing requirement within 1 year from the issue date of the relevant written notice.
For enquiry, please contact the Supplementary Labour Division of the Labour Department at 2150 6363.
