Safety hints about fatal work accident that happened in Yuen Long on 5 November 2025

In response to the fatal accident that happened on 5 November 2025, in which a female worker was pressed by a collapsed perimeter wall, the LD calls on duty holders to take suitable safety measures to ensure the safety of workers engaged in demolition work or those working nearby, including:

• providing suitable support to the structures being demolished or those affected by the demolition work to prevent them from accidental collapse; and
• fencing off the demolition work areas properly with suitable warning notices displayed to prevent any unauthorised entry of persons into dangerous areas.
