Safety hints about a fatal work accident that happened in Sheung Shui on 16 May 2025

In response to the fatal accident that happened on 16 May 2025 involving a worker falling while working at height, the LD appeals to duty holders to take suitable safety measures, including:

• installing guard-rails and toe-boards at the edges of workplaces and providing workers with suitable working platforms; and
• in exceptional circumstances, providing workers with fall arresting equipment, as well as ensuring the proper use of such equipment by the workers throughout the work.
