Careers and education advisory services for F5 graduates
The Labour Department and the Education Department will jointly provide convenient counselling services on careers and further studies for Form 5 graduates from tomorrow (August 5) to August 10.
An advisory centre will be set up at Fresh Fish Traders' School to provide one-stop advisory and counselling services for the students and their parents.
Apart from information on careers and local and overseas studies, details on various training programmes, such as the Youth Pre-employment Training Programme and the Youth Work Experience and Training Scheme can also be obtained there. Students can also seek on-the-spot counselling on further studies and careers planning.
Located at 33 Sycamore Street, Tai Kok Tsui, the advisory centre will open from 10 am to 7 pm between August 5 and 9, and from 10 am to 1 pm on August 10.
A telephone hotline (2152 5055) will be set up to answer students' enquiries and give guidance on further studies and careers opportunities. Ten lines will operate during the period.
Students can also make use of the chatroom service at the Labour Department's special webpage at http://www.careers.labour.gov.hk to share their experience on-line. The host of the chatroom will join the discussion and answer enquiries when necessary.
Both the telephone hotline and chatroom service will operate round-the-clock from August 7 to 9. Details of the operating hours are as follows:
August 5 to 6 | 9 am to 7 pm |
August 7 (9 am) to August 9 (7 pm) | 24 hours |
August 10 | 9 am to 1 pm |
