Amendments to the Employment Ordinance with effect from 1 May 2011

With effect from 1 May 2011, employers are required by the Employment Ordinance and the Minimum Wage Ordinance to keep the total number of hours worked by related employees in a wage period, please refer to the leaflet on statutory minimum wage or visit http://www.labour.gov.hk/text/eng/news/mwo.htm for details.  Please note that failure to pay minimum wage amounts to a breach of the wage provisions under the Employment Ordinance.
