The CEOHKO regulates contracts entered into in Hong Kong by manual
employees and those non-manual employees with monthly wages not
exceeding $20,000 who are employed to work outside Hong Kong by
foreign employers. A concerned employee and his/her employer
should enter into a written contract which must be presented to
the Labour Department for attestation before the departure of the
employee. The Labour Department may require a person who is
a permanent resident in Hong Kong to furnish a bond or guarantee
for the performance of the contract by the employer before attesting
the contract. |
