Training Courses
The Occupational Safety and Health
Training Centre provides the following training courses for personnel in public
and private sectors. Employers who wish to send their employees to attend
the courses should apply for enrolment in a standard application form.
The Programme Booklet with enclosed
application form can be obtained from the Occupational Safety and Health Training
Centre or downloaded from this homepage (Acrobat Reader software is required).
The training courses are provided free-of-charge.

Mandatory Safety Training
The Centre is responsible to recognise mandatory safety training courses under a number of occupational safety and health legislation administered by Labour Department. Prospective training course providers shall go through a recognition process before they are approved to provide mandatory safety training courses. The following documents set out the application procedures and approval conditions (including Operation Code and Course Design and Specifications) for course providers of recognised mandatory safety training courses:

The Centre is responsible for the approval
of Cartridge-Operated Fixing Tools under the Factories and Industrial Undertakings
(Cartridge-Operated Fixing Tools) Regulations administered by the Labour Department.
The
Centre is also responsible for the approval of specifications for eye protectors,
shields and fixed shields under the Factories and Industrial Undertakings (Protection
of Eyes) Regulations administered by the Labour Department. Besides,
the Centre is also responsible for the registration of safety officers, safety
auditors and safety auditor training scheme operators. - Scheduled
