    Duties of Trade Union Members
    Members' participation is vital to the success of a trade union. As a trade union member, he or she has the following duties and responsibilities:
    • To observe union rules;
    • To pay membership subscriptions and contributions on time;
    • To inform the Executive Committee of any changes in personal particulars;
    • To participate in union activities, e.g. attend General Meetings and express views on issues of concern;
    • To keep abreast of the work of the Executive Committee and the latest development of the union;
    • To take part in the management of the union by assuming union office as appropriate; and
    • To study reports of the Executive Committee on the development and financial management of the union and to raise questions if in doubt. The purposes for which union funds may be used are specified in union rules and the Trade Unions Ordinance.
