The amendments to the Employees' Compensation Ordinance made under the Certification
for Employee Benefits (Chinese Medicine)(Miscellaneous Amendments) Ordinance 2006
shall only apply to employees who sustain work injuries or suffer from prescribed
occupational diseases on or after
1 September 2008 (according to the time of Hong Kong). They will be
eligible for the compensation under the Ordinance after receiving medical treatment
and the respective certification from registered
Chinese medicine practitioners. |
