Employees' Compensation Insurance Levies Management Board

The Employees' Compensation Insurance Levies Management Board, established on 1 July 1990 under the Employees' Compensation Insurance Levies Ordinance (Chapter 411), is responsible for the collection and distribution of the levy remitted by insurers. 

Functions

  1. To collect the levy remitted by insurers;
  2. To make recommendations to the Chief Executive in Council with respect to the rate of levy ; and 
  3. To distribute its net resources to the bodies specified in the Employees' Compensation Insurance Levies Ordinance
Membership

The Board consists of 10 members who are appointed by the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The current term of appointment is for 3 years from 1 July 2007 to 30 June 2010 with composition and representation as follows :
