Factories and Industrial Undertakings (Loadshifting Machinery) Regulation

Paragraphs (f) to (j) in Part II of the Schedule to the Factories and Industrial Undertakings (Loadshifting Machinery) Regulation have come into operation on 1 September 2006 to enable the Commissioner for Labour to recognize the training courses for operators of compactors, dumpers, graders, locomotives and scrapers used on construction sites.

Course providers interested in organising training courses for the aforesaid loadshifting machines should submit applications to the Labour Department.

The responsible person of a loadshifting machine shall ensure the provision of a recognized training course to his employees who are required to operate the loadshifting machine, and operators shall attend the training course provided by the responsible person.
