"Customer Service Teams Project"

Objectives

Recruited volunteers will visit catering establishments and small and medium enterprises to conduct questionnaire survey and to disseminate safety and health publications. The aims are to :

  • enhance the occupational safety and health awareness of persons responsible for the workplace;
  • provide information on the Occupational Safety and Health Ordinance and its subsidiary legislation;
  • provide information on the occupational safety and health service offered by the Labour Department; and
  • provide opportunities of diversified voluntary service to volunteers, enhance their life and working experience

Project Details

Visits conducted by volunteers of this year's project last from July to 29 September. About 220 volunteers worked in pairs and visited more than 14,000 catering establishments and small and medium enterprises during the period. Questionnaire surveys have been conducted to assess and enhance the basic knowledge of stakeholders of the establishments on occupational safety and health legislation and workplace safety and health. Relevant publicity materials have also been distributed.
