"The Most Improved Trainees" and "The Caring Training Bodies" of the Youth Pre-employment Training Programme 2002/03 were commended at the award presentation ceremony on 2 August for their outstanding performance and contributions. The Permanent Secretary for Economic Development and Labour (Labour), Mr Matthew Cheung Kin-chung, and the Chairman of the Commission on Youth, Dr Choi Yuen-wan, officiated at the ceremony.

At the ceremony, "The Most Improved Trainees" shared with the guests their experience and personal development after joining the programme. Dr Choi and Mr Cheung were then joined by the trainees to kick-off the new phase of the programme.

An exhibition to publicise and accept joint applications for the programme and the Youth Work Experience and Training Scheme was held at the venue. Many youngsters flocked to visit the exhibition and submitted applications on-the-spot.
