Construction training courses approved under Construction Sites (Safety) Regulations

Persons aged below 18 are restricted under the Construction Sites (Safety) Regulations to work on construction sites unless undertaking or having completed certain training schemes.

By virtue of Regulation 4A of the Regulations, the Commissioner for Labour has recently approved the following 13 training courses offered by the Construction Industry Training Authority:

Basic Craft Courses 1-year

  • Construction Scaffolding Works
  • Construction Plant Maintenance & Repairs
  • Electrical Installation
  2-year
full-time
  • Bricklaying, Plastering & Tiling
  • Carpentry & Joinery
  • Painting, Decorating & Sign-writing
  • Plumbing & Pipe-fitting
  • Marble Laying
  • Metal Works
Construction Supervisor / Technician Trainee Training Programmes 1-year
full-time
  • Building Construction & Maintenance
  • Civil Engineering
  • Building Services
  • Quantity Surveying
