The Employees' Compensation Division

• assists employees who suffer from a work injury or an occupational disease to obtain compensation under the Employees' Compensation Ordinance;
• assists family members of an employee who is killed in a work accident to obtain compensation under the Employees' Compensation Ordinance;
• assists persons who suffer from pneumoconiosis or their family members to obtain compensation under the Pneumoconiosis and Mesothelioma (Compensation) Ordinance or to obtain ex gratia payments under the Pneumoconiosis Ex Gratia Scheme;
• assists persons who suffer from mesothelioma or their family members to obtain compensation under the Pneumoconiosis and Mesothelioma (Compensation) Ordinance;
• promotes, reviews and enforces provisions under the Employees' Compensation Ordinance and the Pneumoconiosis and Mesothelioma (Compensation) Ordinance.
